SERIOUS EATS

Since 2018, I’ve been the Video Producer for Serious Eats. Along with Producing I also handle the main camera operation, sound, and lighting. Below are some examples of videos I edited as well.

FOOD NETWORK KITCHEN

Food Network Kitchen is one of the premiere series for the brand that I helped produced from 2013 to 2018. It focuses on approachable, visually appealing recipes developed by our culinary department. Along with producing, I would often provide additional camera help (if not filming entirely) as well as editing and color correction support in post. The series is our biggest and most successful with almost 1 billion views.

Below are a sampling of the 100+ episodes I produced.

FOOD GOALS

Food Goals is a social video series centered around outrageous food and pop culture events. Talent was a mixture of our in-house culinary team and external food stylists. Along with producing, I also shot and edited many of the episodes.

This ongoing series has garnered over 100M views across Food Network's social platforms.

FOOD NETWORK CONTRIBUTORS

This series focused on broader trends in food, this time utilizing only external food stylists and producers.  As a producer, I helped guide stylists with best practices to shoot and edit, provided music and notes on their video cuts.

This ongoing series has garnered over 100M views across Food Network's social platforms.

CUTTING EDGE

Cutting Edge is a YouTube-focused series I pitched and produced that centers around the evolving world of food and technology. I worked with an external production company to craft stories around the tech with YouTube stars Jimmy Wong and Ashley Adams of Feast of Fiction.

This humorous and informational series has amassed 1M+ views across Food Network's social platforms.

FOODIE CALL

Foodie Call was a hosted series that highlighted food trends in pop culture. Food Network Star winner, Justin Warner interviewed chefs, celebrities and even astronauts about their love of food and created a dish inspired by their conversation. I worked with an external production company and talent, crafting ideas for food and guests. It was Food Network's first premiere series for their Snapchat Discover channel.

In it's 2-season run, Foodie Call amassed millions of views across Food Network's social platforms. The following are a few of my favorite episodes.

HOW TO WIN

This seasonal series focuses on big, entertaining Summer and Winter recipes. As the producer, I worked with our internal culinary team to come up with ideas and recipes, then pitched external production companies to deliver on time and budget. I also worked with our Sales Team as we had several videos purchased as sponsored content. I made sure product was delivered and featured according to client needs and oversaw post-production notes and launch.

This ongoing series continues to "win" for Food Network, earning several hundred million views across social platforms.

12 Days of Cookies

12 Days of Cookies is a spin-off Food Network's popular site feature. Each video accompanies a recipe or decorating technique released on the 12 days leading up to Christmas.

This series took off with our audience with nearly every video garnering over a million views across Food Network's social platforms.

Other Work

Food Network Taste Test

I wouldn't exactly classify myself as "talent," but I was featured in a number of episodes for the ongoing series, Taste Test. As much as I'd like to think it was my sense of humor that got me asked back for more episodes, I have a feeling it was more to do with there not being many staffers excited to try out canned chicken and blended Waldorf salads.

The Lengths

The Lengths is a feature length film I co-wrote and is available to stream on Amazon Prime. I edited the trailer for the film which you can watch below.

Sharon Needles' Top 13 Horror Movies for Chiller / NBCUniversal

I worked with the digital team for Chiller to create this promo. Along with editing, I sourced the film clips, keyed out the green screen and added all of the graphics.

Nora

Nora was a short film I co-wrote and edited for the 2012 48-Hour Film Project in Jacksonville, FL. The competition gives teams 48 hours to write, shoot and edit a film using specific guidelines. Our film ended up winning multiple awards including Best Film, Writing, and Editing.
